Studio Practice:Currently focused on soda/salt firing stoneware and porcelain. My focus is moving towards nonfunctional work—carved, glazed, salt- or wood-fired, or combination of those.
Exploring themes of social justice and environmental concerns.
Wood fire participation at Stephen Mickey’s Soulgama and Slipper Kilns, Ken Pincus Skyline Noborigama, Mt. Hood Nanagama and Little Woody Kilns, 7 Cedars Train kiln, and Ruri’s Fuu Kuu gama in Sheridan.
Work focuses on form and texture, and how glaze and firing intersects with texture and manipulation of clay as well as kiln atmosphere and flame.
Salt/soda kiln constructed at my studio in 2020.
